One condition that can prevent a woman from becoming pregnant is polycystic ovarian syndrome. While this is a treatable condition, it can sometimes be difficult to treat and can lead to instances of infertility. However, there is now a new treatment that has been shown successful with treating women with polycystic ovarian syndrome and helping them to become pregnant without an increased risk of complications that normally come along with pregnancies related to this disorder.

1. What Is PCOS?

Women who have polycystic ovarian syndrome have hormones that are unbalanced. Usually, this syndrome works as a domino effect in that it begins by knocking one hormone after anotherout of balance, which leads to more becoming unbalanced following first.

There is even an increased risk of a woman developing diabetes if PCOS goes untreated for an extended period of time.

2. PCOS Symptoms

Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a common disorder that is created when there is an imbalance of hormones. There are many symptoms that a woman may have when she has this syndrome, including issues with fertility, raised levels of insulin, ovarian cysts, as well as a number of other issues.

Many women who have polycystic ovarian syndrome have irregular cycles and require treatment from their doctor.

3. Dangers Of Hormone Shots And PCOS Patients

One of the most common treatments for polycystic ovarian syndrome is hormone treatments along with in vitro fertilization. However, hormone shots are actually dangerous for women with PCOS because it can make the ovaries become swollen and painful.

This is where in vitro maturation comes in and this new method looks very promising for women with PCOS.

4. New Treatment

In the past, women with polycystic ovarian syndrome were forced to take hormone injections in order to reduce the effect that the syndrome had on the body. However, with a new procedure called in vitro maturation, women are able to avoid this type of treatment method.

Through this procedure the immature eggs are collected and allowed to mature in a lab. One of the benefits of this treatment method is that there are very few hormones given, if any at all, and it has still been shown to be successful.

5. Still Needs More Research

Currently, this method still needs more research before it can be proven successful for women with polycystic ovarian syndrome. However, initial results show that women, who have this syndrome and undergo this treatment rather than in vitro fertilization, are more likely to develop a healthy pregnancy at a faster rate.

This is a very promising statistic for women who are suffering with this syndrome and can lead to some big changes in the near future.

6. Conclusion

Women with polycystic ovarian syndrome can find it is difficult to become pregnant and there are many health risks involved if it is not treated properly. If you are having symptoms of this syndrome, it is important that you talk to your doctor and determine the best course of action to fight back against it.

Although it may be difficult to become pregnant with polycystic ovarian syndrome, this new method offers women an alternative to the typical treatment method that is currently available. Although research is still ongoing, it appears as though this treatment method will be a success and has the ability to help women who are suffering with polycystic ovarian syndrome become pregnant while avoiding the dangerous effects of large quantities of hormone drugs at the same time.

Be careful when and how you use it

I bought into the hype and broke down and tried this product. After all, how can you resist something that claims that the fat is literally taken out of some of the food that you eat! I must say, though, pay attention to the directions on the package. I used it for a few days with none of the negative effects that many people experience. But during those times I ate fairly healthy meals and nothing too fatty. Then I went out with friends and didn't think about the fact I had taken these pills. I ate chicken wings, blue cheese and french fries. And spent most of the night and a good portion of the next day with several occasions of racing to the bathroom because of digestive issues. I suppose it shows that it does remove "stuff" from your diet because I sometimes have issues going at all and with using this product I went several times a day. But is it worth the risk? Besides, I have no idea if taking the pill was making a difference in my weight loss or if I was having success because I was being more careful in my food choices leading to lower calorie intake.

Weight Loss through Fear of Embarrassment

Was excited to try Alli, heard such great things. Did not see anything for the first couple days I took this. Then came the HORRIBLE side effects. Oily, greasy residue in your underwear and the toilet, and the smell. Oh my gosh. It was awful. Talk about eating healthy - for fear of what this will do to you. Didn't even finish the first bottle it was so terrible.
